On Impulse
On Impulse (full management)
Coen Molenaar - Hammond, Rhodes en keys
Frans Völlink – basgitaar
Sebastiaan Cornelissen - drums
The Music of On Impulse is best described as electric Jazz / Fusion with a lot of influences of other music styles. For starters the setting will give you a feeling of nostalgia: Coen is sitting between his organ and Fender Rhodes and synths. His sounds will bring you back to the days of early Jazz Rock, not that digitalized sound of the postmodern! Frans is playing his old Fender Jazz bass, which will remind you of Jaco Pastorius, and drummer Sebastiaan, with his "high energy" grooves, is the motor of the group! The already shared the stage with Randy Brecker, Nigel Hitchcock amongst others. And to be honest concert with Randy Brecker in Germany were truly a highlight for this band!
For 2013 (April / May) we’re planning a series of concerts with special guest Gerard Presencer. Other possibilities in the future will be: Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer or Nigel Hitchcock. Suggestions, please give us a surprise! All guest play the music of On Impulse.
